Communication: We communicate a lot, because we like to keep you abreast of how things are going. Many applicants discover that the purchase is both more complicated and much harder work than they were expecting. You will have to engage with the process more deeply than you would in the UK. However, we do most of the hard work for you and are happy to, providing you can stay up-to-speed with what is going on and responsive to the emails we send.

Frankness: We tell it how it is. If your application is in difficulty, we won’t pretend otherwise. If your application is going fine, then we’ll tell you that too. Banks can ask unexpected questions sometimes – don’t be fazed by this, we’ll help you deal with it. Please read our Case Studies to understand what we mean.

UK and Prague: We meet the banks regularly, face-to-face, in the Czech Republic – yet we keep our client administration centre in the UK. We are based in both countries. This enables you to deal with us in English and send your documents to our address in Sussex, while knowing that we are meeting the banks personally on your behalf, where your mortgage is being processed.

Banks: We have relationships with multiple banks. Some brokers restrict their clients to a limited choice of banks, to increase the volumes – this certainly carries some advantages. Czech Finance offers a wide choice of banks, because the Czech banks really do vary a lot and the choice of bank can make a significant, often critical difference to the success or failure of an application. In the Czech Republic, we believe that the ability to select from many banks, carries more advantages for you than our being able to refer larger volumes to a few. Our Case Studies (see tab) were applications made to 4 different banks.

Free Quotes: Our prices are good and quotes are free. Frankly, you should go on gut feel and the relationship you can develop with your broker – mortgages are so bureaucratic in the Czech Republic, that you might need to talk to your broker frequently and you will certainly need to have confidence in him/her.

Competence: We understand what we are doing. If we are not sure of something, we ask the banks. They tell us. That’s how it works. If they don’t tell us, we use a different bank. Some banks train us how to use their own pre-scoring spreadsheets. Other banks enjoy training from us, where we explain how for example, tax on the UK self-employed can be built into a pre-scoring spreadsheet to their satisfaction. We have lots of experience arranging mortgages in the UK, and a great deal in Central Europe – but we specialise in the Czech Republic.

OUR PLEDGE: Czech Finance pledges that

(1) INFORMATION PROTECTION: We do NOT pass on your credit report access passwords to banks. We only provide a scanned copy of your credit report printout.

(2) SECURITY AGAINST LOST DOCUMENTS: We scan all original documents before posting them or flying with them. This is for extra security in the event of loss in the post.

(3) RESPONSIVENESS: All first enquiries will be answered by the end of the next working day.

(4) INTEGRITY: If we accept you as a client, it is because your pre-scoring shows your application is likely to succeed. Our fee structure inhibits us from accepting clients who are unlikely to be successful (See: Frequently Asked Questions)
